Can I make and distribute copies of articles from Exchange magazine or individual downloadable PDF articles?
If you are the director of a single center, you have permission to make copies of articles for your staff members and/or parents. This includes articles from the print magazine, Articles on Demand, Beginnings Professional Development Workshops, Out of the Box Training Kits, and Exchange Essentials.
If you would like to make copies or reprint an Exchange article for any other purpose, including trainings, higher education courses, and newsletter distribution, please complete our permissions request form.

If I have a subscription to Articles on Demand, can I make copies to share?
Individual subscriptions to Articles on Demand allow you to make a single copy of articles for noncommercial personal use only.
Reprint permissions for individual articles can be obtained through the Copyright Clearance Center (ISSN 1946-0406 or 0164-8527) or by completing our permissions request form.
For reprint permissions for multiple articles, annual trainer rates for Articles on Demand are also available, which include unlimited reprint permissions. Contact us to learn more. -
Can I link to an Exchange article?
Absolutely! Anyone is welcome to share the link to any article on the Exchange website. Viewers will see the first 200 words of the article. In order to read the full article, viewers need to login. This can be done either with an Articles on Demand subscription or by creating a free account. Creating an account allows the user to select any five articles of their choice absolutely free! You can find the article by searching Articles on Demand and using the article link on the article summary page (see example below).

Can I post an Exchange article on my website?
All Exchange articles are copyrighted and posting on public websites is prohibited. For information on posting articles in systems with restricted access (e.g. learning management systems, member-only sites), please complete our permissions request form.
