Happy Monday, Exchange Family!
These are some of my favorite lines read by the National Youth Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman, at the Inaugural last week:
"Let the globe, if nothing else, say this is true,
That even as we grieved, we grew
That even as we hurt, we hoped
That even as we tired, we tried...
We will raise this wounded world into a wondrous one...
The new dawn blooms as we free it.
For there is always light,
if only we’re brave enough to see it.
If only we’re brave enough to be it."
Here’s a question for all of us to ponder this week:
How will we be the light, in small ways and large? For ourselves? For others?
I am thankful to the Reimagining Our Work (ROW) Conveners Group (sponsored by Exchange) for their example of being the light. Listening to their courageous conversations pushes me to be braver in all I do. There’s a place for you in these free ROW Initiative conversations; you would be most welcome. Find out more.
Thank you for being brave in so many ways,
Nancy Rosenow, Exchange Publisher, on behalf of our entire team
