In the book, Heart-Centered Teaching Inspired by Nature Nancy Rosenow writes, "Heart-centered educators know how to ask for help and how to offer help. We also know the energy available to us when we are working for something that transcends our individual interests and concerns. At its core, heart-centered teaching is about paving the way for a world that will be a bit better than the one we inherited. John W. Whitehead said: 'Children are the living message we send to a time we will not see.' It's why we do what we do. We want the message to be one of hope. It's the message nature urges us to send."
