So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit �" and the rest was history.
The moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.
Believe it or not, many years ago, I had a boss who told me this story for what she thought was my benefit after I criticized her for never visiting the schools or sharing in the day-to-day challenges of an early care and education environment. Since she was terminated six months later, I have to assume she wasn’t on as high a branch as she thought necessary. I suppose the real moral of the story is this: Regardless of position, rank, or assumed power, the success of a preschool, regardless of definition, is from the school level up and not top down.
